Zoo Negara, TPC Trip, 18/04/2009

Hallo, rabbit here.... Yes, rabbit because I am born in the year of the Rabbit. Anyways, TPC had its second outing and this time, we headed for the zoo, Zoo Negara that is. Thus, the rabbit picture. Well, am writing this post in the college's digilab. The trip to the zoo was fun but if there were more people, maybe it will be more enjoyable. But due to deadlines and a Mass Com event held on the same day, only a huge number of 11 including me went for the trip. Imagine that. Oh well, got some interesting shots from this trip. This is not my first time to the zoo. My first trip there was 2 years ago and at that time, I was not really into photography so no pictures then. This round though, its all about photography...

So here is the wining 11. HAHA....

Reached the zoo at 10 and we were welcomed by the stench of the animals and with the sad looks of the animals. Not all but most. We started our journey to the ape section a.k.a. Monkey zone.

But too bad, this is the only good shot I got...

Next was the Wild boar pen... My goshh!!! The stench!! Almost fainted on the spot... But it doesn't seem like the heat and the stench is bothering this wild boar. Imagine roasting it... Mmmmmmm~~~~

Next was the Sang Kancil enclosure.....

I wonder how this innocent looking thing defeated a dog according to the history of Melaka.

And right next to its enclosure,

Was a close relative of the Sang Kancil which is the deer...


Beyond the pretty white flowers,


Were fluffy pink Flamingos..... Tried to get heart shape photo but failed..... Because... The flamingos won't stop moving...

Went for the "sad" multi-animal show which I didn't get a good shot... And viewed some typical zoo tricks. Why can't they improve the shows? Or maybe just upgrade the music....


We visited the aquarium but I decided to save my battery power because there was nothing interesting to take picture of.. Typical fishes....

After visiting Mr. greedy elephant,

Yes, he was greedy indeed.

We went for lunch at a fast food joint called "The Wild" and of course, the food sucks.. Resting our tired feet till 1.30 p.m.

We continued our journey to the reptiles area. Where Mr. Tortoise was busily eating his vegetables.

So we decided to leave him be and visit the sleeping crocodile....

Zzzzzzzzzzz........ Why so still Mr. Croc?


Then to the monitor lizard pen where he stared at us, as if we were the exhibits.


Then, we heard a loud groan......


What can it be????

We rushed to the tortoise enclosure... to see what was happening.....





Aduhaiiii... Can't you wait till night?? You horny tortoise.... Luckily the kindergarten students came 5 minutes after the Tortoise was done.... Imagine what they will ask their teachers.
Kindy kid 1: "Teacher, what are they doing?"
Kindy kid 2: "Are they playing, teacher?
Kindy Kid 3: "Can we try it?"

Kindy Teacher: *faints*

LOL....

Well, this was not one of the exhibits but spiders are animals too right? HAHA... Love this shot though... Micro shots are fun.

While we rest our feet once more. And also to escape the hot afternoon sun. We cam-whored... Spot the similarity.

After the quick break, we went to the Savanna zone where we got to see some.....

And one grumpy camel... Just joking, he was busily eating his food...

To look out for possible dangers.... or maybe he was just having gender issues.... Maybe those grass were his wig? Lol...

Answer to the question is... I am bored...... But I need to work..... But thank you Mr. Chimp for posing for me.... Very suitable for all of us who are in deep S**T now because we are in the zoo when we are supposed to be stuck in college doing work...

But no, we were not feeling the guilt...

Instead, we felt happier that we feel we can reach the skies...


We were just enjoying each others' company and loving the sun shine...

Then it was back to the outdoors to see more animals....

Tiggerrrrrrrr was happily soaking himself in the cool water...


Lion was watching as the visitors walked by..... It was another day in the zoo for the animals.
Lion:"These humans are just boring...."


And before we left the zoo... Pelican or whatever this bird was called was the last animal we saw before walking out of the gates and went back home.....

No, it was not so dramatic.... By the time we reached the bus, we were all too exhausted that everyone sleep soundly on the bus... Oh yea, the group picture, the final one that is, is with Toby... I didn't trust my camera enough... Well, I had a good time chilling.... Thank goodness for the outing.... I needed a break... For those who joined.... I hope you liked it...
