Pasar Seni AGAIN?!! SABD March Intake Orientation Day, 5/4/09

Well, this is my last time helping or joining any orientation days for SABD. Next semester will be too hectic for club activities. So here it is, my last post for SABD orientation days. Well, truth be told, I am not supposed to be here. HAHA... It was the last day for the K.L. Design Week so made plans with a couple of friends to see the exhibitions, since I didn't manage to finish looking at all the exhibitions the last time I went.

For the March Intake Orientation day, the society decided to allow the QS (Quantity Surveyors) students to run the orientation day since not many of them were active with SABD. Well, the picture above are most of the organisers for this event. *Finally got to know some QS people.* Well, kudos to the organisers on their success on the planning of the orientation day even though it was their first time. Oh yea, need to thank those archi people who helped out too.

And here are those who participated for the orientation day. Hope you had fun.

Ah yes... There are these moments when camera attacts. HAHA.

Archi helpers...

Oii.. Snap my pic for what? I snap back...

Well, after the usual walk about around K.L. and having lunch, the newbies came back and started on their final activity for the day. No, its not sculpture making again. This time, it was an art banner where the newbies were to paint a mural to express what they felt about K.L. or anything actually.

And while everyone was working hard.

The organisers were just chilling around, taking pictures. (Crystal, first from left is the chairperson for this event. And guess what... SHE RABBIT TOO!! Yay, finally another rabbit in SABD and I thought I was the oldest. HAHA.)

And just laughing....

4 out of the 6 banners... Well, my prosumer's battery died on me so I couldn't take pictures of all the banners. Had to use the compact but the pictures didn't turn out that great. Oh well, what I have is what will do. HAHA...

So in typical SABD fashion, we had a final crit and presentation and the winners were anounced. Sorry if I don't feel enthusiastic about taking pictures because well, it kind of gets redundant after going to Pasar Seni so many times. And for the same thing. But overall, it was indeed a success and at least I got to know some QS people... Oh yea... One of them said I looked like a Hamster.. WTH!!!! Ok, nevermind..... Whatever...... :P

After taking the group picture, it was time for us to leave!!!
Some of the Newbies joined us for the K.L. Design week Exhibition at Cap Square K.L. Thanks Jun Win for Driving me and Najat to Cap Square. Yes, it was definately a scary experience when your car sort of died in the middle of a busy road.

Thank goodness by the time we reached there, the Secret tent Bazaar was still open and we can see vendors sitting in their tents selling their products. Mostly art stuff.

This stall had some pretty cool stuff.

For cat and art lovers...

Well, the exhibitions were pretty much the same from the last week I visited but this time, I managed to read up on their descriptions and explore more of the art put in.

The doodle wall was interesting. Anyone can draw on it... Some were interesting. But some were disturbing. Sorry, didn't take pictures of the disturbing ones.

Oh yea, the bunny looks different in the day...

But this is still my favourite.... So nice... I wish I can draw like this. I shall practice and practice till I get it. HAHA....

After Cap Square, met up with Tricia and her friend at Sungai Wang then headed for dinner at Jalan Alor. Had a nice chat with both of them but the food was sort of dissapointing. Sorry, no pictures. Well, Compact camera battery was also dead by dinner time. How sad... Forgot to fully charge the compact.

Twas an interesting Saturday. And the final relaxing weekend I should say... Because....
ITS WEEK 12 PEOPLE!!!!!
2 more weeks till WEEK 14!!!!
Semester 5 is almost over... STUDIO 3 WORK IS DUE SOON!!!!
TIME TO PANIC!!!!!!

Okay, back to work........ Ciaoz......

did they say why its called a secret tent?

I think they did.. But I didnt see the sign. All I can speculate is because every tent sells something different and unique and you must visit to see their secret stuff.
