Here is something interesting I found in the market a few days ago. Its a tropical fruit which looks like Laycee fruit but actually it is sort of a wild rambutan which the locals call "Buah Tambuon". It is one of those fruits which were cheap in the past but expensive in the present. 1 bunch RM3. Mum and dad calls it their childhood snack, costing them 10 cents for a bunch back when they were lil kids.
So, as you can see. Tiny little fruits which looks like Lycee.
And when you open it, it looks like a mini rambutan.
But the skin looks like Lycees'
Its sweet and sour and doesn't taste like Rambutan nor Lycee... Its totally a different type of fruit..
You can head down to the Sibu's Central Market and get a bunch.
Oh yea, Sago worms is in season. Hopefully I can find some in the market and will post it up to gross you all out.
p.s. Just started work today. Hopefully I can survive 2 months of it!
