Smiles....

Sometimes in life,
DSCF0277
A smile is all we need to get through the day.

And the best smile or laughter we get get is from little children.

How wondrous it is to learn from little children.

"And he said: " I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me." Matthew 18:3-5

1 minute sermon...

Yo yo yo... Got something to share with y'all....
Here are the Lyrics to these rhymes:
To be a survivor in this Amazing Race with the need for speed you need God’s Grace and if your desperate like housewives watching days of our lives, you can’t cope without hope and that is not on a soap. If your looking to Oprah or Dr. Phil you can shop non-stop or pop a pill, but the void won’t fill and the pain won’t kill until you love the one that hung on a hill. Kicking back in your lazy boy easy chair watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, nah your not gonna find it there. No American Idol or Council Tribal has the final answer that will satisfy ya. C. S. I. ain’t got a clue. S.V.U. Don’t know what to do Not the E R or those seen on a CD TV DVD or MP3 can save you and me. CNN has got no Good News here’s a headline you must choose. It’s not a simple life Paris Hilton, It’s treading on thin ice living in sin. You can be an apprentice for Donald Trump or eat Fear Factor fast food from a dump you can be a heavy hitter or wheel of fortune winner or a Fox news no spin spinner or flat sinner but you better check this life that your livin’ and make sure your sins are forgiven I bet cha 50 cent Elvis done come and went, and eventually every Black-eyed-pea, Gwen Stefani, P-Diddy and Britney. Every wanna-be on M T V with their Icy Bling, every Dixie Chick that Sings, they all gonna see the king of kings. I don’t care if your J-Lo, Leno or Bono. One thing you gotta know. Some day your gonna die, Bro. Then Where are you gonna go. Hey, i’m not talking some punk junk that is irrelevant. Like your Grandma’s church from way back when. It’s not some preacher feature on T B N. that you need to be liking or listening. The real superstar is Jesus Christ. He’s the way, the truth and the life. One day he’s gonna split the sky. He is the brightest light and the highest high and so what I came to say and what I’m telling you is don’t buy that stupid stuff they be selling ya it’s all designed to fill your head and waste your space until your dead here’s the bottom line in my rhyme. Give your life to God while there is still time.

Shadows of the past

Shadows of the past
Sometimes, there are shadows in our lives which scares us when we think about it.  It might not be ghosts or ghouls but the things that we are done.  We walk down those dark corridors and think to ourselves why did we do that or why didn't we do that.  It can even be the decisions we haven't make but we have to.  Those shadows follows us till we find the light.  I really need to find that light.  But I do feel it coming.  Oh Lord, you are my light...

Powerful Inspirations

Powerful messages for the week.....

Thursday, March 11, 2010

Thank You

Just a little while longer I wanna pray
Can't get You off my mind so I came to say
Thank You Lord just for loving me
Many times as I do forget
Every need that You have met
Oh thank You Lord, I know You're showing me
You are there when I am down and out
You're holding me, Your love is so amazing
Oh it changed me

Chorus:
Here I am with all I am
Raise my hands to worship You
I wanna say thank you, oh thank you
For everything, for who You are
You cover me, You touch my heart
I wanna say thank you

I could have died in my sin but You saved me
Didn't have any hope at all
You gave me peace divine, strength to carry on
I should have been the one to pay
But instead You took my place
My Jesus, words cannot explain
Even though I don't deserve Your love for me
You look beyond my fault and You showed mercy

CHORUS

I wanna say thank you for the sun
I wanna say thank you for the rain
Everything You do is beautiful
I'm so grateful for Your love

Here is a song I hope can cheer you up but if you are having a great week, Praise the Lord. Well, I am having a great week so yea. Thank you Lord.... This song is originally by The Katinas but this version is by Janice and Sonya, the two whom sand Officially Missing You.. Enjoy!

Have a Great week!

Walau Seribu Rebah

For those who can't understand Mandarin, here is the English version,

Walau Seribu Rebah - Key F
Worship

Verse

F Bb
Mercies that rise with the new morn
Gm F
Set me apart as a new born
Dm7 C
Each moment I live, by faith I believe
Am Bb
With You I'm never alone

F Bb
Darkness may come, trials seem so long
Gm F
You are the light I depend on
Dm7 C
Through valleys and storms, Your word keeps me strong
Am Bb
My shelter, refuge and song
Dm7
I trust in You

Chorus

F
Everyday I live
Am
I know You are my God
Bb C
I lift my face and look to you my God
Am
Even when the mountains tremble
Bb
And a thousand fall
F
I will stand with You
C
My Jesus
F
Take my all

In times like this, I just need to find my peace. Its not the end of the world. Ignore the pain and know that the Love of My Saviour is protecting me. Shielding me and also guiding me through life. For all the hurt that I have felt and the sadness I have been feeling, I am casting it all away. Its not worth getting mad over with.... Pray..... I just love this song. So encouraging.

Fun with Wesley Youths

Wesley Youths had a short skit yesterday after the worship service. Was surprised when I saw this guy in church....

Yes, the one on the right... T.K. on the left couldn't resist himself from laughing at Louis.

Lawson is also part of the cast. Well, I didn't manage to get a picture of the rest of the cast because there was not much time... So, let me introduce to you. Everything, a song by Life House. If you want to see the original skit *click* to watch.
A short skit done by the youths in Wesley Methodist Church of Sibu.

And this is why guys are not meant to wear makeup. Because they do not know how to wipe it off. HAHA.

After the service, some of us met at "cafe cafe" for lunch. I even met Louisa and her gang there. And I had to help Louisa drink some of her Szechuan soup. Ok... Not a dish I would recommend. A tad to salty for me.

No small spoon so had to use the extra big one. HAHA.

Louisa and I

From left: Christina, Grace Su, Louisa, Michelle Hii and Joyce

Our group was too big that we had to separate to 4 table. One for the adults. One for the younger people. And the longest table is the "campur-campur umur (mixed aged)" table. HAHA.

Introducing from left: Terrence, Andrew, Adrian, Timmy Ling and Timmy Su.

And the table with the different age group... Too big that no one paid attention to the camera. No one except Lawson, Timothy and Dorothy.

Then others joined in too. Making the small cafe really noisy...

But overall, its great to meet up with the youths. Its fun to see them having so much fun.
Hope you enjoyed the skit.. I edited the video the best I could.. Not good to take pictures in the dark, needless to say filming in a room with limited lights....

Christmas of 2008

Okay... Christmas is over so it means 2008 is at a close. Ah.... Goodbye 2008. I shall not really miss you. Yes yes. 2008 is not really a good year for me. First off, the stress I faced. Second, I guess not many people know, I experienced my first breakup and yes, to my girlfriend and not my studio. Well, and much more. Yes, yes, everyone wants to know why... But honestly, don't bother, because I am so not going to tell you. Coming back to Sibu really did cheer me up. Guess what did the trick... Here is a hint... it starts with the letter f and ends with the letter y. Yes, its my family. And with the care they give.. Not forgetting the food... I feel cheered up. HAHA.

Well, for Christmas eve. My parents decided to have a party at home. So they invited their friends. Everyone brought a dish. Well, my parents, as usual, whipped up some delicious dishes for the party. Okay, "foodies" out there, don't lick your computer screens okay...

Food for Christmas Eve party..... Cooked by my parents...

Dad cooked...

Roast leg of lamb.

Roast Chicken (Jamie Oliver style).

He also cooked Cream of Mushroom soup using fresh mushrooms and potato au gratin but I didn't manage to take a picture of it.

Mum is a desert person so she made,

Traditional English Trifle.

And Tiramisu.
Yum Yum....

But what was interesting is that I manage to also eat "Bansuh", a traditional Iban dish where the chicken is cooked in a bamboo with herbs, salt an pepper on an open fire. Its a very fragrant Chicken soup dish. Well, once I can get the actual details of the dish, I will write it in the future post.

According to my dad, his friend whom we know as Ah Kong cooks one of the best "Bansuh" in town.

"Bansuh"

Well, there were other dishes which I didn't manage to take picture of because I was running all over the place serving drinks to the guests. Even my little dog was having fun with the guests. Receiving belly rubs and pats on its head for Christmas eve. But sighs. He is an old dog but still acting like when he was a pup.

Let me introduce you to Monty...
A cute cocker spaniel with long fluffy fur and loves belly rubs.

Sitting somewhere in my living rooms is a beautifully decorated Christmas trees.

My brothers really did a great job decorating the tree without me.

The night ended with everyone counting down to Christmas and then wishing each other a "MERRY CHRISTMAS" and hugs.

I love Christmas... Don't you... Its about love and guess what I celebrated it with the people who I love most in the world. That is just everything.
And you want to know what else? I am celebrating the birth of Christ, my saviour and my God.

Happy holidays everyone. God bless you all and have a Happy New Year!

The Desert Song...

Okay, for those who are worried about me and all, well, honestly, I am okay now.... Seriously. SO stop worrying. The latest song I put up on this post and the one you will be hearing soon is called "The Desert Song" by Hillsongs, one of my all time favourite Christian bands. Their songs and lyrics has calmed me so through my many tough time, the good and the bad and trust me, I have plenty of bad going on. So here is one of my latest favourites from their album "This is our God". Here are the lyrics. Just read it and wait for the music to load. Seriously, its very meaningful to me. For those who feel down, this song is dedicated to you.

THE DESERT SONG
Verse 1:
This is my prayer in the desert
And all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger and need
My God is a God who provides

Verse 2:
And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames

Chorus:
And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

Verse 3:
And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

Bridge:
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

Verse 4:
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be empited again
The seed I've recieved I will sow

Enough 3dMax.... Time for some creative fun.

After doing 3d Max for the past few days, I have decided to push it aside and spend a day doing something which is both fun and can also help me improve in my photography skills. So guess what I did, I decided to try out using photoshop and yes, this is my first time using photoshop to enhance my photos. Nothing much, just simple ones. I want to keep my pictures as natural as possible. SO please do comment on the photos. Oh yea, all this photos were taken by me. Not taken from Google or anything. There is no plagiarism here people. These are all copy-righted by me.

I love nature shots especially when they are full with colours and beauty.
(Flower pictures taken in Genting Higlands back in June.)

With the orange...

And the yellow..

To the bright violets..

Or purple...

To the cooling blue, nature can really inspire one in life.

God really knows how to cheer me up. Through His creations,

Picture taken at Penang's botanical garden.
He gave me the sweetest smile.

And waved at me to show me how beautiful His creations are.

Pictures taken at Langkawi's UnderWater world back in June.

He cheers me up when I am down...

Forever my little puppy, even though he is 9 years old (63 in dog years). Photo taken in July when I was back in Sibu.

Though I feel small in the world, God still takes care of me and know me inside out.

Stalking a caterpillar at Sibu's 10km walk/forestry park in July.

Even when I fear death so much, He comforts me with His words of comfort and that I should look forward to eternal life with Him in Heaven and not die in the darkness but live in the light.

One of Sibu's Chinese cemeteries, taken opposite of the "Ku Tian"park in July.

And finally, I need to let God take control of my life for He will show me my future. All I have to do is work hard and trust in Him.

"In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:6

TCPJ Christian Fellowship

TCPJ Christian Fellowship had their first ever Full Worship Event, "True worship" on Tuesday's meeting which was basically yesterday. I am so glad I did not miss it. Though small, its really enjoying just being able to worship and sing unto the Lord for 1 and a half hour. Each bible study group had to lead 15 minutes of worship each and there were 3 groups in total. My group, which was lead by Benny had a practice last Friday and also at 430 p.m. yesterday, half an hour before the event itself. Its cool being able to meet other Christians and having a fellowship with them. Everyone was tired, bummed by their assignments or exams but they still managed to go for the event.

Sherman, tired and excited at the same time. He was the guitarist for the group.

Everyone was excited and ready for a great worship session.

I am not planning to write much. So enjoy the pictures.

Session started

Every group started with lively and action songs where everyone jumped, dance.... Basically just enjoying themselves.

The musicians were also enjoying themselves.

The Second session

After the Praise songs, it was time for us to quieten ourselves and worship God with meaningful, heart touching songs.

One thing I learned from this event is that, no matter our race, where we come from, the meaning of the songs written unto God, to praise him or to worship, the content of the songs are always similar and that it always touches the heart.

I learned a new song which is in Swahili.

Hakuna Mungu Kama Wewe Bwana

Hakuna Mungu Kama Wewe Bwana (aah aah)(x2)
(Kwa Uweza)
Kwa Uweza ye ye ye
Ei yee
Hakuna Mungu Kama Wewe Bwana
