To someone special....

Wait wait... No, she is not my girlfriend... To those who don't know, this is my sister (not biological though, but we act as if we are.), Louisa. And the reason I wrote this post is because its her birthday and I promise not to ever forget her's after certain incidents in the past. Oops, I know, I am a terrible bro. *But on that same year, she forgotten about mine for the same reasons.*

I AM DEDICATING THIS POST TO HER BECAUSE SHE JUST TURNED 19!!

So first of all I would like to wish her a very Happy 19th Birthday!!! I am stressing on the 19 because its your last year being a "teen", though in my heart, you will always be the little girl I got to know 5 years ago.

You have been my little sis for 5 years! My gosh, that IS long. HAHA.

You are always there for me. Through my ups and downs, lefts and rights. And I love you for that (sibling love okay...) And yes, you always try to look more mature than me but sorry little girl, no matter what you do or say, you will forever be a little girl to me.

I am really Thankful to God for sending a little sister like you into my life (Seriously. We met at a youth camp 5 years ago.). Why? Because I never had a sister in my life.

But it is funny in a way how God arrange things in life. I am from a family of 4 boys and you, from a family of 5 girls. Maybe that is why we understand each other so well. HAHA.

Thanks for all the fun times we had. Yes, I do miss those days when we had time to go out and chill. Especially with the gals with all the chatter, squeals and laughter.

Oh ya, to John:
*Serious tone* Hem hem.. Do look after Louisa well ya. I know you will.
Oh ya, don't feed her too much or else I will get a earful on how she gained weight. HAHA.

I know, you will be "aww-ing" and "Haih, this Aaron." Or "I am going to get Back at him someday."

But I just need to let you know that I miss you and Love you with all my heart. I really want to thank you for being a part of my Life as my little sister. A little angel who always is there to push me and encourage me. And as we slowly grow older and more mature, I hope we will continue to be as close as we are now (John, dont't worry. I won't snatch her away from you. I promise.)

Going to end this post with a shout.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU LOVELY! May God bless you with all the love, wisdom and encouragement you need. And may you have a wonderful birthday with your sisters and friends in Melbourne!

P.S. I know I still owe you your birthday present. Well, wait till you go back to Sibu. We go for cheesecake and a cup of hot coffee. HAHA.... God bless you sis. *Hugs*

P.S. 2 I don't usually do this for anyone. HAHA.

A rather late post in the beginning of 2009

Well, I am back in Kuala Lumpur again, going to start a new semester soon. *sigh*... I have only left Sibu for 2 days and I am already homesick. I guess I can never get used to be away from home. Its my comfort zone, sadly to say.. So need to find something to distract me from the yearning of flying home. Well, sorry for hiatus since new year. Didn't really have time to blog since I was hanging out with my "sis" Louisa. Won't be seeing her for another year since she is going back to Melbourne to study.

Welcoming the New Year this Year was very simple. Had steamboat with my family and with Sgt. Kong (dad's friend) and his family at King Yung Seafood near Civic centre. Well, just to let you know, this is one of the best place to go for steamboat in Sibu.

Though many will think that "Syabu Syabu" is good, this place is much better. It is not just about the freshness of the seafood, the portion, the broth but the price is unbelievably cheap. Yes, for a normal steamboat without the giant prawns and crabs, it only costs around RM30 for 12 people. Cheap right? If you are in town, I suggest you go there and try. If you want, wait for me to go back to Sibu then we go enjoy together. I will teach you the Japanese way of eating steamboat. And its really enjoyable. Because while you wait for the soup to cook, you can enjoy each other's company.

And instead of the normal induction cooker pots as we can see in many modern restaurants, this one still uses the traditional steamboat pot using gas and fire.

The guy in the middle is the chef and the owner of King Yung Seafood. Somehow, all the chefs that I know are all so skinny.

Sorry, I didn't take any pictures of the food. I was too busy indulging in the sweet sweet soup... MMmmmmm~~~~

Mum with Sgt. Kong's wife Christina and their daughters.

After dinner, we went to YMCA to chit chat till 1145 p.m. then we headed to town to see the 5 minutes firework display.. It was a sad sight. 5 minutes only... Oh well, its always better during Chinese New Year. Too bad I am not going back this year to celebrate. Sorry guys, my family wants to spend the holidays in Kuala Lumpur for this year.

Now that I am back in Kuala Lumpur. I miss my family's new puppy, Missy. Man, she is going to grow so much in the next couple of months and I am going to miss that. Hope she still will recognise me and not bite me the next time I am back in Sibu. She is just so adorable. Her puppy dog's eyes and cute little bark. That will all change in 6 months time.

Little Missy playing futsal.

Another thing I will miss are my High school mates. Yes, this holiday was filled with gatherings and just hanging out, chit chatting with each other. It is never a dull moment when Jsaper is around. Too bad Hisham is too busy helping his dad out with business. Looking back, we all changed since 3 years ago when we left SMK Methodist.. All the memories and funny stories. Now, everyone is everywhere. New paths are chosen and new life to come. But hopefully friendship will always remain.

Not forgetting, THE FOOD!!! Yes, I am sure going to miss all these Foo Chow tea snacks when I am here in K.L. The sweet cakes and biscuits are so lovely with a cup of coffee or tea in the afternoon.

Anyone interested? HAHA... Sorry, I don't really remember the names. Some are just so hard to pronounce.. Maybe some kind soul will introduce all this cakes and biscuits for me on the comment box. HAHA..

ITS THE START OF 2009!!! My final year (if I pass everything) in taking the Diploma of Architecture in Taylors University college. So, Time to kick start my engine and do my very best in this last two semesters. Wish me all the best. To all those in Sibu. I miss you guys and thanks forr keeping me company and relaxing me during my holiday back.. Hope to see you soon. Pray that time fly past fast. Till then. May God bless you all with good health and bright minds. To those with me going through the last year in Diploma. Lets study hard. And not forget to play hard too. HAHA..

For those whom I haven't wish a Happy New Year,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

and oh yea, to Jess and Kiet Yang,
HAPPY BIRTHDAYYY!!!!!

Holidays...

Please ignore my previous/deleted post of mine. Yes, it was lame and stupid but I was bored. And I knew it will bound to be deleted by me sooner or later. Well, its the Raya Holidays so Firstly, I would like to wish all my Malay friends in Sibu, K.L. or wherever you are a "Selamat Hari Raya". Sorry to those back in Sibu, I know I been saying, "next year I will visit you during Raya." for the past 3 years but circumstances has prevented me from returning to Sibu on this festive period.

I know I am missing out on the many delicious home cooked food (argh, the Malay food tastes so different than the ones here but its soooo freaking good.) but what can I do? Thanks to the last minute, "Classes will be canceled for activity week, just join an activity for one day" has prevented me from booking a ticket back.(Which cost RM 600++ to RM 1000++ depending on when). Oh well, I guess I am not meant to be back home in my beloved town. I know, K.L. is much better. With all the places to go and the shopping centers and malls. The great big city. But I will and shall be a town folk. I love going back to a peaceful town. No traffic, fresh air, CHEAP food, traditional FOO CHOW FOOD! and to see my family. Arghhh... Now I feel homesick. No! I must not feel so. Its time I get my ass to work. I need a routine for the next two weeks. Assignments and exercise will be my main priority (40-50% chances I will come up with the two weeks routine but I will try). Argh.. Forget it. My first priority is to get back my sleepless nights. Energize my body to the full before the upcoming sleepless nights. Wish me all the best ya.

Oh ya, its October the first, so to all those borned on October, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I won't list it out because there are just too many October babies. For those celebrating their 21st on this month, Doug, Shirley (da jie), Robert Dieh and so far thats all I know, including me, I just want to say: "Happy 21st birthday to all of you. I know we are legal to start drinking and all but please, Don't Drink and Drive. HAHA. Just joking. Well, we have come to an age where we are no longer teens nor have we become adults. We are still in between. HAHA. We have reached the begining of our 20's I wish you well. With all the stress and all the strain, I only have this one advice. If you wanna stay young, just hang around those younger than you." HAHA... Ok, that was lame. Oh well, I am that lame anyway.

Well, when you reach the age of 21, you realise that life is no longer a fairytale. Welcome to reality. And yes, IT SUCKS!

Stop and smell the roses....

Hmm... With how my course is going, the only thing I am smelling is stress and lots of UHU glue. Stop and smell the roses means we need to take time from our busy life and just enjoy life for awhile. Thats what I need to do this holiday. Stress-free, care-free and relaxation till the max. I miss Kun Ming, China. Just look at the picture, isn't it just brilliant? So calm and soothing. That was last year when me, my mum and Bryan went on a tour there on January. It was still winter then, so the trip was nice. We even went hiking in the stone mountains. I think that is what really inspired me to go into architecture. I mean, try to imagine creating something in the creation that God has already created. He gives me the inspiration to make things like this. 3 semesters have passed and another 9 to go. Oh boy... Only one third over. Oh the joy. HAHA. Its a long road ahead. Tough but equally enjoying. I learn a lot for this one year and a half. More than I learned when I was in secondary school for 6 years. At least I am not forced into studying what I don't enjoy at all. All those science subjects. Thinking about it gives me the shivers. But somehow, I also don't regret studying in the science stream. It sometimes helps with my designs like math and physics.

Yea, so sometimes we just have to sit back and Let God work. Its all for the best. So all I have to do in a few hours time is to present well and keep my calmness in front of the critics. My heart is beating like crazy right now. I may seem calm but deep down, I am nervous. I am guessing some of ya are smirking when I say this. Oh well. HAHA. All I have to do now is hype up myself for tomorrow and keep running through my lines in my head. Pressure is on when Hau Yee is just presenting ahead of me. And I guess she is glad she is not presenting after me. Big pressure right?
I am so gonna stop and smell the roses during my long holidays. Holiday starts Wednesday and last till July 28th. Thats a good long time for my brain to restructure it self and get my mental strength back. My target for the holiday. Improve in my model making skill and drawing skills. That will be my greatest challenge for the holidays. Losing weight is one thing, but I always say it and yet no results can be seen so scrap that. Over all, I am gonna plan my holiday well. Working is one of the things I am going to do. Gotta finish my industrial training fast. Hope my boss is a good man. Well, I believe that life is built on experiences and memories. So, work hard (but not till becoming a workaholic) and just relax and enjoy what life brings you.

Booker T. Washington Quotes
"Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome."

Its time to smell the roses...

Oh yea. To all mothers out there and especially to my mum "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!"

To my mum:
Because of you, I am who I am today, You gave me words of wisdom in which sometimes I choose to ignore but regret in the end,
You gave me a reason to move forward in life than back,
You showed me love so that I can show others love,
You have been my inspiration for the past 21 years of my life.
To you I have to thank for always being there for me,
From Happiness and sorrow
To the memories you gave to us.
You have lead me to become the person I am today
And taught me the importance of life.
I thank God for you and this comes from the heart.
God loves you for loving me.
You said that I was a miracle in your life,
SO its my turn to say that you are the miracle God gave to me.
Thanks for being there for me mum.
Love you mum.
